The crackling fire between them provided the only sound in the heavy night. One of the three brothers cursed by the Wicked Witch of the West.
Hunk was a successful farmer that grew the best crops in all of Oz. He lived a humble life, a husband to a beautiful wife and father to a brilliant son.
While working in the field one evening, he encountered the Wicked Witch. She proposed a deal with the farmer; he would poison the crops that were to be delivered to the population of Oz, and in return, she would gift him with all the riches in the world.
The young man declined her offer without a second thought.
Outraged, the Wicked Witch transformed the man into a mindless, straw woven killer.
As punishment for declining her 'generous' offer, the Witch forced the newly created Scarecrow to slaughter his family.
Slowly, regaining control of himself, the Scarecrow now seeks the Wizard of Oz, to grant him his life back, and would destroy anyone that gets in his way.
